Acapulco
Acapulco: 340km south west of Mexico City. It has a population of 1,200,000 and it is located in a bay where the Southern Sierra Madre joins the Pacific Ocean, creating a blue and green contrast. In the colonial period, Acapulco was the main port in the Pacific Ocean. From there left the Galeons of the Philipines or the Naos of China. This beach is, without a doubt, one of the best destinations in the world. Its name alone stands for the paradise of the southern seas. Acapulco is divided mainly in two beach areas: the peninsula, closing the west bay, from the Quebrada and its cliffs, to the port. The second one along the Costera Miguel Aleman and its long white sand beach, extending itself to the end of the bay, from the port to the end of the South Bay. Since its beginning as a beach resort in 1927, Acapulco has been a symbol of natural beauty and unlimited fun, such as water sports, the sun or simply its night life. Do not miss the famous divers in the Quebrada, a unique show, in which a group of local divers dive from a 30 meter cliff to the waves of the Pacific.
